RCIS strives to cultivate strong relationships with crop insurance agents and agricultural producers across the nation.
As a leading crop insurance provider and an Approved Insurance Provider (AIP) through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), RCIS offers insurance protection in all 50 states through a national network of approximately 3,600 professionally trained and licensed agents.
RCIS can provide crop insurance more than 160 different crops through a broad portfolio of products, including hail, named peril, supplemental and stand-alone insurance products, as well as multi-peril insurance policies available through the USDA's Risk Management Agency. Additionally, RCIS offers a suite of technology and service solutions that helps agents, farmers and team members simplify communication and work together more effectively.
Mike Day, Head of Rural Community Insurance Services (RCIS) for Zurich North America, expressed appreciation to Congress for its bipartisan efforts to reauthorize the 2018 Farm Bill. The Farm Bill supports farmers and ranchers in producing food for a growing world population.
Zurich has worked diligently to protect crop insurance and private sector delivery throughout the reauthorization process.
The final legislation passed by Congress and awaiting signature from the President, provides affordable risk management solutions for farmers and ranchers, expands opportunities to access crop insurance coverage, and maintains the successful public-private partnership of crop insurance delivery.
“I could learn something on a Tuesday and be out in the field applying it on Wednesday,” says one graduate of the RCIS-NICC crop apprenticeship. Online coursework serves apprentices coast to coast.
